Using the Seasons of the Witch – Lammas Oracle cards:
You may wish to establish an oracle-reading ritual such as lighting your favorite candles and incense, playing music or using a special space to do readings. Otherwise, spend a moment or two centering yourself by closing your eyes and taking a few deep breaths. When you feel calm, bring to mind your question then shuffle the cards and pull the card that feels right. You may experience a sensation such as a tingle or warmth when you have reached the card that is meant for you. Everyone experiences this differently, so if a card feels like the right one then trust that it is. Continue shuffling and pulling cards until your spread is complete if you are using one or until you have asked all the questions you have. If desired, consult this guidebook for the card’s meaning or use your intuition to guide you.

Iced Tea - slow moments, refreshing, relaxationWon’t you come in and have a glass of iced tea? That’s what your soul is asking for right now, a break and a chance to refresh after a long period of hard work. The spiritual equivalent to heat stroke is burnout. Yes, you can keep going and keep pushing but the results could be devastating, and what would’ve been a short break could end up being a very long and possibly destructive breakdown. Fortunately, there’s no need for things to go that far. You have received this card as your warning to enjoy some much-needed relaxation.
Sunflower - energy, power, joy
A sunflower does not apologize for its commanding brightness and tall, regal stalks. It follows the sun from morning until sunset, taking in all of the light and nutrients of a warm, sunny day – and you should not apologize for your joy either. You have the right to celebrate your wins, acknowledge your power and lean in to the sweetness of a life you have envisioned for yourself.
There’s no need to be arrogant or rude or flaunt your desires in a way that diminishes others, and there is also no need to feel guilty for wanting what you want or being who you are. Following your bliss is how you attract the things that are meant for you and how you energize your life, the same way a sunflower follows the sun to grow and thrive.
Rooster and hens - curiosity, uniqueness, birthing something new
Chickens are very intelligent and curious animals. They love to roam and explore their surroundings, and studies confirm that chickens are very aware of the world in which they live. The rooster and hen card has presented itself to pique your curiosity. This is your call to try something different, go on an adventure, shake things up and expose yourself to something unusual.
