Black Ink

Another great purchase from one of my favorite shops!!

So, this was interesting stuff. I used the ink not for writing on paper, but to stain an untreaded wood magic wand. I had an interesting reaction. See picture, but part of the wood handle was a different wood from the rest of it. The lower part of the handle dyed black when it dried, but looked dark green at first. The upper part of the handle dried to an almost colorshift purple/navy/green, but looked dark green at first. Both the navy/purple and the black parts of the wand used this exact same ink. So...may not turn black if used to stain wood depending on the type of wood. Ink is definitely green based. But, I rather like the subtle color-shift effect of the purple/nacy/green bit (I don't think I can capture the color shift in pictures). Still, I'm happy with the purchase...but beware if staining wood! Results may vary!
