.5 fluid ounces
Formulated to encourage attributes of Brigid: Goddess of the Forge, Inspiration, Healing, Poetry, Vision and Smith.
Brigid Oil, featuring Rowan Berries with fruity and floral top notes in a base of Amber, is formulated to encourage the attributes of Brigid. Traditionally associated herbs are included as the Deity Oils are blended to honor the energetic qualities of each one of the Deities.
Brigid’s three aspects are:
- Fire of Inspiration as patroness of poetry
- Fire of the Hearth, as patroness of healing and fertility
- Fire of the Forge, as patroness of smith-craft and martial arts
She is mother to the craftsmen Sons of Tuireann: Creidhne, Luchtaine and Giobhniu. Brigid’s festival is Imbolc, celebrated on or around February 1st when she ushers Spring to the land after Cailleach’s Winter reign. This mid-Winter feast commences as the ewes begin to lactate and is the start of the new agricultural cycle. During this time Brigid personifies a bride, virgin or maiden aspect and is the protectoress of women in childbirth.
